He picked up one of his little devices ((this one is a wheel)) and poked a switch on the side. Its motor started up and it rolled across the floor and bumped into a wall. The light impact abruptly destabilized a panel on the wall and it came loose with a clatter. Keith grabbed a rivet gun exasperatedly.

This is boooring.
You grab one of your wheel-contraptions, set it on the floor and turn it on.
It rolls across the floor and bumps into a wall.
One of the rusted panels on the wall comes off with a clatter. You grab a rivet gun exasperatedly.
